Meet your Camino Sherpa
Who we are
"I have been a pilgrim of El Camino since May 2015. Something which became very clear to me from the beginning is that no two Caminos are the same. We all may be heading to Santiago, but each and every journey is different.
Our well-balanced itineraries explore the spirit of El Camino alongside Galician culture and Celtic heritage for those seeking a Camino experience that goes beyond the kilometers."

The Way of St. James
History
A Millenary Holy Pilgrimage
Most of what we know today about the origins of el Camino come from the historic document Concord of Antealtares (1077). Here are the most important events in the ancient history of the iconic Medieval pilgrimage
The Legend of St. James
Saint James the Great — who pilgrimed to the Iberian Peninsula and preached the word of Jesus after his crucifixion — was the first apostle to be martyred in Jerusalem on orders of King Herod Agrippa. After his beheading, his remains were transported by his followers to Galicia and buried in Santiago de Compostela.
Discovery of the Saint's Tomb
After witnessing and following strange lights in the night sky, Pelagius the Hermit rediscovered St. James' tomb.
The First Pilgrim
Alfonso II, King of Asturias, journeys from Oviedo to Santiago to verify and worship the site of St. James' mortal remains. This route is still traveled today, known as the Primitive Way.
The Modern Camino
Every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world embark on spiritual journeys through the more than 200 official and unofficial Camino routes.
